Watch it stitch itself before you stitch it
Write or ask for your amigurumi and watch it come together in 3D, stitch by stitch, assembled and stuffed, before you spend a single yard of yarn.
How it works
Write or ask
Paste a pattern in US notation or ask the assistant for the toy you want. It writes the pattern and the engine checks it.
Watch it stitch
Every round appears stitch by stitch. The stuffing pushes out, the pieces get sewn, and the toy takes its real shape.
Stitch along
Move round by round with the toy beside you and the count of every round in view.
The real toy and the simulated one, side by side
We measure how close the render is to the hand-stitched toy. It is our metric, and we publish it.

Coming soon: the first Danigurumi toys, stitched by Daniela and simulated in Gurumi.
Frequently asked questions
What is Gurumi?
An amigurumi simulator: you write or ask for a crochet pattern and watch it stitch itself in 3D, with the stuffing and the assembly of the pieces, before you crochet it.
Does it make up patterns that cannot be crocheted?
No. The assistant writes the pattern in standard notation and the engine counts every round; if a count does not close, it fixes it before showing it to you.
Which notation does it use?
US crochet notation (sc, inc, dec, hdc, dc…), the same as most published patterns. The abbreviations are explained in your language.
How much does it cost?
Writing, simulating and viewing the toy will be free. The AI assistant will have a paid plan with a monthly message allowance. Prices are announced with the beta.
When can I use it?
The closed beta opens in the coming weeks for people on the waitlist, in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
